The key question to think about before you write, is just as much what you put in to your personal statement as to what you also leave out. You have a choice, too much information makes it less precise, too little doesn’t show your capability to its fullest extent therefore you need to aim for the middle ground. So what information is good information, you certainly don’t want to be writing about your younger childhood days nor details about your family. The personal statement needs to be relevant and reflects your recent experiences and how all this can relate to the course you wish to study. You need to show you are a well read, educated and learned student by reflecting on your current reading and applying what you have learnt into your writing.
